With reference to your Despatch No. 249 of the 22nd. of September, 1915, I have the honour to report that upon Medical advice I have allowed Mr. C. W. T. Brott to retire from the service on pension. The amount of pension to which Mr. Brett is entitled amounts to 267 9

4 per amwn after deducting

£9 4 O as contribution to the Widows and Orphans' Pensions, and that the Crown Agents for the Colonies have been instructed to issue payments to. Brett as they became due.
2.
I have authorised that the expenses incurred
by Fr. Brett while he remains under the care of the Ceylon Govern- -ment shall be defrayed by this Government until further notice.
